Mission Bay Pavilion Project

In 2012, San Francisco began actively working with the Golden State Warriors to develop a world-class, state-of-the-art sports and entertainment pavilion.  The Golden State Warriors arena plans to open in time for the 2018-2019 basketball season.

Gross Receipts Tax Information


Business Taxes are changing in San Francisco. Starting this year, the City will phase in a Gross Receipts Tax and reduce the Payroll Expense Tax over the next five years. In May, all businesses will also see changes to their business registration Fees. These changes were approved by voters in Nov. 2012 and are being implemented by the Office of the Treasurer and Tax Collector. ECONOMIC STRATEGY 

In 2004, voters passed Prop I which called on the City to develop a long-term Economic Development Plan for the City and update it regularly. The first strategy was released in 2007. OEWD in partnership with the Office of Economic Analysis (OEA) are updating the Economic Strategy in 2013.  For more information click here.
