Our goal is to ensure that the City will always be one of the best places on the planet to live, work and play.

Mayor Lee Launches San Francisco Business Portal

The Business Portal is your ultimate resource for starting, running and growing a business in our City.  With comprehensive information and tailored tools, the portal helps you navigate the process and quickly learn what it takes to be compliant.

Mission Bay Pavilion Project

In 2012, San Francisco began actively working with the Golden State Warriors to develop a world-class, state-of-the-art sports and entertainment pavilion.  The Golden State Warriors arena plans to open in time for the 2018-2019 basketball season.

Gross Receipts Tax Information

Business Taxes are changing in San Francisco. Starting this year, the City will phase in a Gross Receipts Tax and reduce the Payroll Expense Tax over the next five years. In May, all businesses will also see changes to their business registration Fees. These changes were approved by voters in Nov. 2012 and are being implemented by the Office of the Treasurer and Tax Collector. For more information on the changes, please visit sfbiztax.org

Whether you are a local resident starting a small business, an international corporation opening an American headquarters, or a medium sized company considering expansion, San Francisco is the ideal location.  OEWD can help. ___________________________________________________
