NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES IN SAN FRANCISCO

As the most sustainable city in the country and one of the most desirable business destinations in the world, San Francisco has a dual imperative: not just to foster continued growth, but to ensure smart growth. Over the past decade, San Francisco has identified underutilized areas throughout the City for redevelopment. Today, these areas represent some of the most desirable commercial and residential real estate in the City, offering new and relocating companies the opportunity to be involved in groundbreaking new commercial communities.

The Bayview Waterfront: Hunters Point Shipyard and Candlestick Point
With over 750 acres of waterfront land along San Francisco’s southeastern shores, these sites will offer over two million square feet in commercial space oriented around a “green” science and technology campus, as well as retail and entertainment venues, new residential units and parks.

Treasure Island
This former naval base consists of approximately 365 acres on Treasure Island and 90 acres on Yerba Buena Island—both offering a prime location in the heart of the San Francisco Bay with stunning views of San Francisco’s skyline. Development plans include commercial opportunities for restaurant, retail and entertainment venues, as well as three hotels, a 400-slip marina, new residential units and parks.

Mission Bay
This 300-acre project, adjacent to the San Francisco Giants’ AT&T Park, includes over five million square feet of commercial and biotechnology space, new housing units, 800,000 square feet of retail, a hotel, and nearly 50 acres of public open space. With the continuing development of the UCSF campus, the market for lab and office space has increased, with over 600,000 square feet of office and biotechnology space just completed and almost 900,000 million square feet of additional space under construction.

San Francisco Neighborhood Commercial Corridors
San Francisco owes much of its charm to the diversity and individuality of its neighborhood commercial corridors. Areas such as Divisadero, Visitacion Valley and Polk Street districts present new and relocating companies with a variety of attractive incentives and compelling real estate opportunities.
