Please note: This document includes Preliminary Funding Recommendations for OEWD’s modules within the RFP (strategies Y-LEAD 10, 11, and 12) utilizing Youth Workforce Investment Funds for FY 2010-11. It does not include funding recommendations for DCYF funded Proposal Areas in RFP#109. Those can be obtained directly from DCYF’s website at www.dcyf.org.

Notice of Availability of Funds:
The Office of Economic and Workforce Development and the San Francisco Department of Children, Youth & Their Families announce the Availability of Funds through the Raising San Franciscans Together Requests for Proposals (RFP).
Raising San Franciscans Together 2010-2013: This RFP represents the availability of approximately $21.2 million in funds from the San Francisco General Fund, Children’s Fund, and Workforce Investment Act during the period July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2013. All funding allocations are strategy specific for Out of School Time and Youth Leadership Empowerment and Development Service Areas. These include afterschool academic and enrichment activities as well as youth workforce development and youth leadership activities. Funds must be used for specific program purposes. Guidelines are listed in the RFP. Awards are subject to availability of funds, grant terms, and rights.
This RFP will be available for pick up on Thursday, January 21, 2010, at DCYF, 1390 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, during regular business hours, and may also be downloaded from
www.DCYF.org. Proposals for all service areas are due on March 3, 2010, at 5:00 pm. For more information, call 415 554-8990. All proposals must be submitted through DCYF’s online application system. Instructions and additional information are available at
www.DCYF.org to assist applicants in preparing and submitting a proposal.

The Pre-proposal Conferences are not mandatory, but it is highly recommended that all potential applicants attend one of the sessions.
In addition, two online application sessions will be scheduled to assist applicants in registering and applying through the online system.
