Now Accepting Applications for Fall Internship Program

OEWD is accepting applications for Interns for the Fall of 2009.

Schedule: Ideally new interns would be available to start in the beginning of September, 2009.  We are somewhat flexible in setting individual start dates depending on your schedule.  Interns must commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week, and can work up to a full time schedule.

Projects: The intern’s level of involvement is directly linked to their work ethic, enthusiasm, and pro-activity. Interns are expected to jump in and work on a wide range of projects, wherever they are most needed. Please let us know if you are particularly interested in a particular area of our work. We try to be sensitive to your interests and allow you to become more involved in the areas most applicable to your field of study or general curiosity. Please familiarize yourself with our projects and office by browsing our website.

Who we are looking for: OEWD interns are usually undergraduates, although we do encourage graduate students and consider exceptional high school students. Interns must be outgoing, flexible, excellent communicators, reliable, and eager to help. Interns should also be confident in their ability to interact with the public as well as prioritize and juggle various projects. Love of San Francisco is a plus.

Compensation: OEWD internships are unpaid, however we are happy to complete any necessary paperwork to ensure that you receive academic credit for your time here.

Application deadline: August 21, 2009

If you are interested in applying please send:
