CityBuild

City Build, a program of the Workforce Development Division, provides recruiting, training and placement services to job seekers, employers and contractors working in San Francisco's construction industry. The program has been an undeniable success, contributing to San Francisco's economy, streamlining City construction projects, and giving workers the tools they need to qualify for higher-skill, higher-paying jobs.

The CityBuild program's functions are twofold. 

For employers and contractors, CityBuild assists businesses in meeting their local hiring obligations by recruiting, training and placing qualified San Francisco residents who can meet their workforce needs.

For job seekers, CityBuild provides valuable training and placement services, connecting qualified workers with the City's many new and ongoing development projects. Educational options include valuable on-the-job training as well as CityBuild Academy, a structured pre-apprenticeship program designed to prepare attendees for employment in a variety of skilled trades.
